Work in Progress

Hey Look! I'm back! After almost a year's hiatus, I'm feeling like working on my website again.

who am i?

i was born on the west coast of the united states to parents that were a generation older than normal for having children, especially then. as a result i got an odd mix of old fashion values with new age liberation and tolerance. we later moved to the high tech scene in Texas and from there moved into the southeast. it was there i realized just how different i was from the majority of my peers.

because of my difference and the age of my parents, i learned a lot of life lessons very early on. human health and wealth are fragile things and you don't appreciate just how lucky you are until you lose them. i often didn't like the reality i was faced with, so i escaped into the world of books. science fiction and fantasy have always been my favorites, and since i was not restricted on what i could read (because it meant i was reading, which is good) i often leaned toward the tawdry. later on, after finally moving to georgia, i discovered the internet. it has been a fascination ever since, a fortunate thing, since working in that industry has proven to be most suitable to me.

after highschool i was introduced to the renaissance festival and worked there, even traveled, for some time. a gained a particular love interest and from there was introduced to the gaming community of atlanta. namely, vampire larps. this is where i met my husband and we have been together for almost 10 years now. it seems strange to think its been that many years.

outside of gaming and computers i have many other interests. the ones that make the list are cooking, canning, reading, writing, sewing, and gardening. some take precedence over others and new ones are added and subtracted all the time, but these are the ones that i stick with the most.

my family and friends are the most important things in my life. they give me the strenght to cary on even when the world seems at its most hopeless.
